Customizable Semi-Managed 100 Gigabit Servers

All 100 Gbps Dedicated Servers are Semi-Managed. Our administrators install your server and reinstall the OS per request and help server owners troubleshoot in case of any operating system, networking, or software configuration issues. Clients can choose specific IPv4 and IPv6 network settings and use unrestricted 100 Gbps bandwidth quota on their 100-gigabit physical internet port. They can install CentOS, AlmaLinux, Rocku Linux, Debian, FreeBSD, Fedora, or any other Linux server OS distribution. Windows Server editions 2019 and 2022 are also available on the server configuration page. Those who need a graphic dashboard (GUI) to manage their server can use - CentOS Web Panel (CWP), Froxlor, Vesta, or any of the other recommended open-source control panels - or choose cPanel or DirectAdmin. To anyone who wants to use a Linux-based Cloud PC, we recommend Peppermint OS, which is based on the Debian/Devuan repositories.

Is my Edge Server protected against network failure?
Yes! Each 100 Gbps server has four (4x) 25-gigabit network interfaces configured for redundancy on 2 separate NIC cards. All four interfaces are placed into a single link access group (LAG) and utilize LACP for individual link monitoring. Your Edge Dedicated Server is connected to two network switches with two (2x) 25-gigabit connection links to the first switch and two (2x) 25-gigabit to the second switch. Each network switch has multiple 100-gigabit fiber connections to the data center's network architecture that features failover protection. The overall networking architecture sustains full data transfer capacity with the failure of any single networking appliance or link. The data transfer from the data centers to either the public Internet or the MPLS IP VPN network is secured by two diverse routers for each network. The routers are connected to a pair of network switches. The data transfer can be forwarded through both routers and will switch over automatically upon failure of any networking device.
How does HC bill my 100-gigabit Server and how can I cancel it?
After the payment is made, the billing month starts from the moment we send you the login credentials of your Semi-managed Edge Server. You can choose between a month-to-month contract and an annual contract. All 100GE Dedicated Servers services are set to month-to-month contracts by default, something that gives you flexibility. If you want to sign an annual contract, we will give you a lower monthly service fee, however, you will be required to prepay the full contract (all 12 service fees). Please note that a 100Gbp/s Server on a month-to-month contract must be properly canceled and terminated before we stop billing you. Like other dedicated hosting services, the 100 GE ones require a 30-day cancelation notice. However, on some occasions, we allow early cancelations. To qualify for an early cancelation, you must have submitted a cancelation request from your Account 5 business days before the beginning of the new billing cycle.
Which Linux OS can I use on my 100 Gbps Server?
There are "officially supported operating systems" on the 100 Gbps Dedicated Servers hosted in our Edge data centers. They are CentOS 7.9, Ubuntu 22.4, Ubuntu 20.4, Ubuntu 18.4, and RockyLinux 8.6. Our clients can use virtualization like Kernel-based Virtual Machine (Proxmox VE), VMware ESXi, VirtualBox, OpenVZ, Linux Containers, Kubernetes, and Docke
How does HC assign IP addresses on the 100Gbp/s Servers?
Each 100 GE Server is assigned its own IPv4 subnet that varies from /29 (8 IPs addresses) to /24 (256 IPs). The first three IP addresses are used for the networking service of your server as follows: 1st IP address is for the router default gateway; 2nd IP address is reserved for router1; 3rd IP is reserved for router2. The 4th IP address is the main IP of your Edge Dedicated Server. Any additional IP addresses can be ordered from Accounts.HostColor.com and can be used for various services on your server.
